In case you haven’t heard there is a great FREE event coming up this April right here in Surrey, BC.
It’s the 18th Annual First-Time Home Buyers Seminar hosted by the Greater Vancouver Home Builders’ Association taking place on April 3 at 7 pm at the Bell Performing Arts Center.
The purpose of the event is to connect prospective home buyers in the Surrey and Greater Vancouver area with the right consumer information and resources. The seminar will focus on answering the most common and relevant questions asked by first time buyers, such as:
- How does the first-time buyers’ property transfer tax exemption work?
- How can I benefit from the recently announced new home buyers’ bonus?
- How do Surrey condo pre-sales work?
- What should I expect to pay in terms of closing costs?
- What are my financing options?
The doors open at 6 pm and allow guests to browse home-related exhibits and make connections within the Surrey real estate market. If you haven’t hired your own real estate agent yet this seminar is a great opportunity to get some no obligation advice from some of the best experts in Greater Vancouver.
Based on the most current list of confirmed speakers we can expect to hear from representatives from the Canada Mortgage & Housing Corp, the Homeowner Protection Office, Genworth Financial Canada, RBC Royal Bank, Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver and Farris & Company LL.
Last year over 750 people attended the free seminar and organizers are expecting another great turnout this year. If you are thinking of buying in the next year (and even if you aren’t a first time buyer) I encourage you to come out to this great event.
